Every guide, calculator explanation, and printable on this site is created from Missy Zipperer's hands-on experience as a working Texas pet sitter — including feeding instructions, drop-in visits, sitter preparation, emergency planning, and pet checklists.

Review process

Every important page is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, calculator function, working internal links, and pet safety warnings. Guides are updated at least twice per year.

Sources

When citing feeding formulas, calorie targets, or emergency guidance, we use widely accepted veterinary sources (e.g., AAHA, WSAVA, ASPCA). We do not present ourselves as veterinary or medical authorities.

If you spot an error, please contact us. We correct promptly and note the update date on the affected page.
